How to tail press

2 march 2017
Last week we learned you how to do a proper nose press, so let’s move on to the tail press!
GOOD NEWS: It’s not the hardest trick out there!

How to tail press

Bend it
Simply bend your back knee and straighten your front leg, so you can pull with your front leg. It’s also easier to pull the bar a little bit towards you for added stability.

Junk in the trunk
Make yourself a bit smaller and get low to the ground (or obstacle in this case) and throw your weight back. The more you throw your weight back, the easier it will be to pull up the nose of your board. Making your tail press that much bigger and more impressive!

There are many ways to tweak this tricks and to make it your own, like a 180 to blind out. Or one of our personal favorites is getting as small as possible and just hand-drag that suck, while almost lying down. It ain’t easy being steezy!
