Wakeboard Design Contest winner visits Jobe Head Quarter
14 december 2011
At the beginning of this year Jobe organised the Wakeboard Design Contest.
Jobe asked fans to submit a creative and inspiring wakeboard design. Jobe received a large amount of entries but, finally the design of the Dutch Rens Prins was chosen as the winning design!
Rens introduced the Jobe “Tag”, which directly appealed to Jobe’s design department. Last week Rens visited the Jobe head quarter in the Netherlands, where they officially handed Rens his own designed wakeboard.
Rens Prins lives in Delft and he studies Construction Engineering. Actually Rens is a real kitesurf enthusiast, nevertheless he is very happy with his own designed wakeboard: “I am going to use this wakeboard for sure! I will try to use the board for kitesurfing, with a few adjustments. In the worst case I have to start wakeboarding!”. Rens spent a few weeks on his design the “Tag”. “First I made a sketch and then I started experimenting with colours, Every time I got some spare time left, I worked on the design” according to the enthusiastic winner.
The wakeboard of Rens Prins is available in the shops at the beginning of next year. Take a quick look at
