Team Austin Hair Wins Wake Games
16 april 2012
From the 11th until the 14th the largest wakeboard team event in the worlds kicked off the season; The Wake Games. This big event took place at the Orlando Watersports Complex, Orlando (FL) and attracted many visitors. The main purpose of the Wake Games was to team up amateur wake athletes with the top professional riders in the sports.
Ten preselected pro men wakeboard riders served as team captains in the wake games and hosted a draft, consisting of the 90 remaining athletes who in advance passed the initial qualifying rounds. Each athlete competed in their respective division, which was separated by age and skill level, while contributing points toward a team score based on their individual placement in that division. All 22 divisions crowned a winner, and the team with the highest total score took home the team title.
We already announced on the official Jobe website that Jobe wakeboard athlete Austin Hair was privileged to be one of the ten team captains. We have good news!!! Team Austin Hair posted the highest collective score (819 points) and will hold on to bragging rights for the next year, how awesome!
