Jobe barefoot rider Mathijs in Florida!
29 april 2010
Jobe barefoot team member Mathijs Zielman is on a training trip to Florida. We have just received the first report of the trip. Check it out....
First training basic and successful
Today Mathijs and Eddie did a basic training with Canadian Champion Paul Mc Donalds giving the instructions. The first day after our long trip we did our basic tricks, and Paul improved Mathijs and Eddie right away.
A skiing day starts at 07:45h with the warming up. At 08:30 we hit the water and Mathijs was the first skier on the water. The water conditions are great with calm and warm water. Of course we started with some basic skiing to get familiar with the boat, the lake and the driver. After a lunch we skied from 1pm to 5.30pm, with a short delay, because an outboard engine broke down. With the spare boat we were able to keep on skiing.
Mathijs practiced the one foot slalom, did a good job but after a hard fall he had to take a rest, doing fine again in the boat. Eddie improved on basic en reverse back toeholds on the small shoe skies, see the pictures.
Tomorrow we start jumping and slalom skiing.
