SUP-talk: why you should paddle in a full suit

SUP-talk: why you should paddle in a full suit

Ice ice baby
Some of us are surrounded by a broad tongue of warm equatorial water. Some of us are not.
The luxury of warm waves isn’t always the case. Well... Who cares?! We love to cover ourselves in neoprene, paddling out at fabulous northern point breaks. Discovering powerful frigid whitewater takes your breath away. Most of us hardly ever standup paddled wearing a full wetsuit, let alone thick booties, gloves and a hood. Dear SUPpers, if you want to know what it is like to be alive: try to SUP in heavy weather circumstances. Nothing is more beautiful to paddle in the middle of the winter, with the sun on your bare back, in a full suit.
But yes, only when your warm enough. When you start recalling passages from the bible, you know your cold. Play it safe and follow our recommendations.

Got to love neoprene
Wear a minimum of 4.0 mm neoprene on back and your chest panel and choose 3.0 mm for your arms and legs.

Loosing grip
It's hard to hit the waves if you cannot feel your feet anymore. Prevent your feet and head from getting cold and wear neoprene booties. These booties its split toe prevents your feet from turning in your booties while making aggressive turns on the water.

No excuses left
You have no excuses left when you slip on a neoprene hood (4.0mm super stretch neoprene). Yes, it's tight. But oh so pro.

Hands on
Neoprene gloves keep your hands toasty in the heaviest circumstances. Non-slip silicon-printed palms give you the grip you need in troubled water.

You're ready to go, pro.
