Life Vests for Kids
There's something for everyone in our range of life jackets which are often called life jackets, or PFD - which stands for personal floatation device. We make sure that you'll find the right one for you. Jobe Sports has been manufacturing high-quality watersports equipment since 1974 and we make sure that every item that leaves our factory is thoroughly tested for maximum fun. We offer you a wide range of adult life vests in different shapes, sizes and colors and levels of flotation.
We care immensely for your children's safety, so all Jobe vests are certified buoyancy aid vests: which means they have a minimum buoyancy of 50 newtons. This means no matter which vest you choose you can be assured that your little one will float safely.
How to buy the right vest
Like sizing an adult Jobe life vest, the procedure is similar for a kids life vest as well. The vest should fit snug. To test the fit, tighten all straps and close zippers and then lift the child by holding the child's life vest by the shoulders. The child's ears and neck should not slip through the head opening.
A childs life jacket should always be shallow water tested after purchase to ensure the correct sizing and floatation needed. The advantage to testing a kids life jacket is not only to ensure proper fit and flotation, it's an opportunity for your child to become comfortable with their vest while on the water. Help your child feel comfortable in the water and explain why they need to wear a life vest for kids. This will help your child remain calm should there be an emergency.
For your convenience we have also categorized our children's life vests into 4 easy to understand categories. First we have all of the
children's vests which are made of a soft and comfortable material called neoprene. These are typically a little more expensive than a traditional nylon vest but provide the best options for comfort and flexibility. Next we have your
kid's nylon vests which are the more affordable option while still providing comfort and style on the water.
Then finally we break the remaining categories into 2 easy to understand comfort levels. These are as follows:
Children's Regular Comfort Vests and
Children's Full Comfort Vests,
