Five reasons why Jobe SUPs are easy to transport and carry around
2 december 2015
Unfortunately not everyone is living right next to the water. That means most of us have to transport our SUP boards to get to it. One of the great things about Jobe SUP is that the SUP boards are really lightweight and easy to carry, even though they have a bigger size. How? You might ask yourself. Well give this article a good read to find out why.
Latest construction methods
When inflating a Jobe Aero SUP board, the air is captured between two layers that are held together by hundreds of stitches, like you can see in the picture below. For extra reinforcement the upper and bottom layer consist of two layers that are glued to each other; a construction method called double layer drop-stitch. Jobe SUP boards are one of the lightest boards on the market because we make use of the newest production method. Before, the glue was applied by hand. However, we make use of a mechanical method and therefore less glue is required because it is more precise. A lighter board is the result!
Easy to carry handle
Both the Jobe Aero and Bamboo series have handles for carrying your SUP. The bamboo series have a special hole to help you carry your board. And the Aero inflatable series have a neoprene handle which makes it comfortable to carry your SUP around.
Waterproof bag
The Aero series come in an easy to use waterproof bag, which you can carry just like a backpack. The bag contains everything you need for your SUP-trip: the pump, leash, repair kit and of course your board. Next to that, you can use it to pack your stuff while paddling to keep it dry!
2-piece paddle
All Jobe paddles (aside from the normal Carbo Pro Paddle) are adjustable and come in 2 pieces. So you don’t have to worry about having a huge paddle that you can’t take with you. Just store it in your waterproof bag!
Foam Core
When you see the Jobe Bamboo SUPs you might think those big beauties are quite heavy.. But we have a surprise: the Bamboo series all have a foam core. The foam core is durable and strong, yet surprisingly light! The result is a hardshell SUP, that weighs practically nothing!
So whether you want an inflatable or hardshell SUP, you don’t have to worry about weight or carrying your SUP. Just take it out, walk to your local beach, lake or canal and start paddling!
